Welcome

Welcome to the Anna Ritchie School website.

Anna Ritchie serves as the Community Resource Hub for the Peterhead and Mintlaw Community School Networks.

On this website you will find important information about our school. If you would like to know anything further please do not hesitate to get in touch using the details in the 'Contact Us' section. Alternatively, Aberdeenshire Council's website has lots of useful information pertaining to schools and the school estates, including such things as term dates and school lunches. You can find that website by following this link: https://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/schools/

Parents/carers of pupils at the school, please note that regular updates about your child's learning will be received through daily home-school communication. Currently we are using the Seesaw Digital Portfolio to facilitate this.

Proposed Relocation of Anna Ritchie School.

The consultation process about the proposed move has begun.

You will find the proposal document and an information poster in the 'Anna Ritchie Proposed Relocation' section. All members of the community are invited to have their say. A link to the online survey can be found in the information poster.

Further information about upcoming meetings will be forthcoming in January.

Community Support.

Accessing the right support at the right place and at the right time is at the heart of Aberdeenshire Council's education service provision. This applies to our families and the wider community as much as the pupils. Knowing how to access the right support can be tricky. As a result, the Council have produced a list of organisations that can support those who need it. This list tells you the kind of support that is offered and how to get in touch with the appropriate organisation.

Here at Anna Ritchie we are whole-heartedly committed to supporting our local community and have shared the list (called the Buchan Service Directory) on this website. You can find it in the 'Community Support' section.

Coronavirus (Covid-19).

As per guidance from the Scottish Government, the school has reopened for the 2020-21 session. We have added a Covid-19 section to the website where you can access the school's risk assessment. This document outlines the measures we have taken to make the return to school as safe as possible. The document was created using guidance provided by Aberdeenshire Council.

We will keep our stakeholders updated with information as and when it becomes available using our usual channels of communication. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch using the details in the 'Contact Us' section.
